White houses

Frigiliana is a town that belongs to the region of Axarquía. The charm of this municipality is that it combines all the beauty of the beach and the mountains. It is located in the Natural Park of the Sierras de Almijara, Tejeda and Alhama and from its balconies of white houses you can see the Mediterranean Sea. Frigiliana is the classic "white town" (of white, whitewashed houses) of Andalusia. In addition, it is a small town, so you can visit in a day with total peace of mind. To begin, we propose a walk through its historic center, whose streets and structures of Moorish heritage have been classified as the purest in Malaga with respect to its origin. We can interrupt our walk with the visit to several monuments and museums that we are finding, such as the Church of San Antonio, which is the main religious building of this municipality. Another stop should be the Archaeological Museum of Frigiliana, which was the first of its kind in the Axarquía and brings together in different pieces the history of this town, from the Neolithic era until today.
